The Youth Intervention Program, coordinated by REACH Project, Inc. under contract with the City of Antioch, operates as a long-standing collaborative effort between the Antioch Police Department, Antioch Unified School District, Contra Costa County Probation Department, and community partners. Designed as a proven alternative to formal juvenile justice involvement, the program serves youths each year through accountability-based education, counseling, and treatment-focused diversion services. Outcomes consistently demonstrate effectiveness, with recidivism rates below 8 percent and over 92 percent of participating youth and parents successfully completing program requirements. Hearings are held twice weekly at the Antioch Police Facility, while services are delivered through REACH’s central offices and include evidence-informed education workshops, parent-teen programs, outpatient substance use treatment, and long-term accountability.
