Guildhaus is a nonprofit men’s recovery home in Blue Island, Illinois, that has been serving the community since 1987. The organization provides a structured and supportive environment for men working to rebuild their lives after addiction, offering a continuum of care through its 90-day halfway house program and a recovery home for continued support.
The halfway house program emphasizes sobriety, personal responsibility, and community reintegration through structured residential living. After completing this phase, residents may transition into the recovery home, which provides ongoing support while encouraging greater independence. Guildhaus also integrates 12-Step fellowship by encouraging participation in Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings to help residents build strong peer support networks.
Counseling services are available in both individual and group formats to address the psychological aspects of addiction, while case management assists residents with employment, legal matters, and accessing community resources. Community engagement is another key component, with residents encouraged to volunteer and participate in local activities that foster purpose and connection.
Rooted in a mission of compassion and understanding, Guildhaus is dedicated to providing men with the structure and support needed to lay a foundation for recovery. The ultimate goal is to help residents return home with the tools to rebuild their lives and relationships, supported by a strong network of family and community.
