The Rapid Access Center at Edgewater Health provides immediate crisis intervention and rapid-entry support for individuals experiencing mental health emergencies or substance use-related crises, including those needing urgent detox services. It is designed to reduce barriers to care by offering same-day or expedited assessments, stabilization services, and direct connection to appropriate levels of treatment such as outpatient programs, inpatient detox, psychiatric care, or ongoing addiction recovery services. The goal of the center is to quickly assess safety needs, provide short-term stabilization when needed, and guide individuals into a structured treatment plan that addresses both mental health and substance use conditions in a coordinated way.
