The Alcohol and Substance Abuse Branch aims to manage, develop, and coordinate clinical, preventive, and community-based programs and policies addressing alcohol and substance abuse. It establishes and implements guidelines, standards, and procedures for professional and program services, monitors and evaluates program quality, and disseminates related information and materials to I/T/U organizations. The branch collaborates with other behavioral health professionals to create a comprehensive approach to care and serves as a subject matter expert on alcohol and substance abuse for the Behavioral Health Aide (BHA) program.
