Addiction Services Council (ASC) is a nonprofit organization in Cincinnati, Ohio, that has been supporting individuals and families affected by substance use and related mental health issues since 1949. Guided by the belief that these conditions are treatable and that recovery is always possible, ASC delivers community-focused, client-centered care across a wide range of services.
Available around the clock, ASC’s 24/7 helpline and AIM Team provide immediate support for individuals and families in crisis, including mobile engagement after hours. The organization also offers comprehensive assessments and counseling, including diagnostic evaluations, individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and family education. Peer and community support play a central role in its mission, with programs led by peer recovery specialists, prevention initiatives in schools, community outreach, and workplace interventions that reduce stigma and promote healthier environments.
ASC further assists clients through case management and referrals, coordinating connections to community resources, conducting urine toxicology screenings, and providing follow-up planning to reinforce long-term recovery. Licensed by OhioMHAS and SAMHSA and accredited by CARF, ASC follows evidence-based practices while maintaining a holistic approach that integrates clinical services, peer mentoring, and educational outreach.
