Payne County Youth Services is located in Stillwater, Payne County, Oklahoma, and is a nonprofit community organization dedicated to improving the safety, mental health, and overall well being of children, adolescents, young adults, and families through a wide range of behavioral health, prevention, crisis intervention, and substance use treatment services. The organization provides comprehensive outpatient mental health and substance abuse counseling using evidence based and best practice approaches, offering individualized treatment plans that include individual counseling, family therapy, crisis intervention, school based counseling, Community at Risk Services (CARS), and specialized support for youth experiencing emotional, behavioral, or substance use challenges. Clients struggling with alcohol or drug misuse receive substance abuse assessments, counseling, relapse prevention strategies, and family involvement designed to promote long term recovery and healthier decision making. Payne County Youth Services also operates a 24 hour Emergency Youth Shelter that provides immediate safety and stabilization for children and adolescents who have experienced abuse, neglect, family conflict, homelessness, or other crises, as well as a Transitional Living Program that helps homeless youth ages 16 through 21 develop the life skills, educational opportunities, employment readiness, and independent living skills necessary for long term success. In addition, the organization is deeply committed to prevention through suicide prevention education, parenting classes, life skills training, first time offender programming, Safe Place services, Safe Sitter training, and other community based initiatives that strengthen families and reduce risk factors before more serious problems develop.
