Judicare, operated by Downtown Memphis Ministry Inc., is a private nonprofit substance use treatment provider serving adult men, including individuals involved with the criminal justice system and those experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. The program provides outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment, transitional housing, and medication-assisted treatment using buprenorphine and naltrexone. Its treatment approach incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, contingency management, the Matrix Model, relapse prevention, trauma-related counseling, substance use education, individual and group counseling, and 12-step facilitation. Judicare also offers recovery support services such as case management, peer mentoring, housing assistance, employment support, aftercare planning, and overdose education, with services designed to help clients achieve and maintain long-term recovery.
