RestorationCity (RC) is a residential, non-sectarian, Christian-based drug and alcohol rehabilitation program located in Hungerford, Texas, approximately 35 miles southwest of the Houston metropolitan area. Founded in 1975 by Director David Kirschke, RC has been a pioneering program offering treatment for whole families, single parents with children, and single adult males and females.
The program focuses on teaching individuals a new way of life rooted in biblical principles, using the living Word of God as the foundation and ultimate authority. RC employs a registered therapeutic approach known as “Belief Therapy,” which is recognized by the State of Texas. This method addresses dysfunctional lifestyles and life-controlling problems, such as substance abuse and relational conflicts, by combining God-centered principles with therapeutic techniques.
RC provides education and training to prepare individuals for leadership roles in their homes, churches, and workplaces. It fosters personal growth and healing within a structured Christian therapeutic community, where participants learn basic life and family skills through re-education and relational restoration. The program creates a supportive family environment where Belief Therapy is paired with Godly re-parenting to help individuals and families rebuild their lives and form healthy relationships.
By offering a practical platform for success, RestorationCity equips individuals with the tools needed to resolve problems, embrace a new lifestyle, and start a renewed life of purpose and stability.
