Ideal Option Auburn in Auburn, Washington, is an outpatient addiction medicine clinic providing evidence based treatment for substance use disorders in Auburn and the surrounding King County area. The clinic specializes in treatment for opioid addiction involving substances such as fentanyl, heroin, and oxycodone, as well as stimulant addiction involving methamphetamine and cocaine. Ideal Option also provides medication assisted treatment for alcohol withdrawal and relapse prevention. Treatment is centered around addiction medicine and may include medications such as Suboxone, Subutex, Sublocade, Brixadi and other forms of buprenorphine, Vivitrol or naltrexone, disulfiram, acamprosate, gabapentin, bupropion, and other medications selected according to individual clinical needs. The Auburn clinic can also assist patients currently receiving methadone with safely transitioning to buprenorphine, although Ideal Option does not prescribe or dispense methadone. The outpatient model allows patients to receive medication based addiction treatment while continuing to live in the community and manage their everyday responsibilities. Ideal Option has specialized in addiction medicine since 2012, and the Auburn location is staffed by addiction medicine providers, including psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners. Most new patients can begin treatment at the Auburn clinic within approximately one to three days.
