Evergreen Recovery Centers in Everett, Washington, is a nonprofit behavioral health organization with roots in Everett dating to 1973 that provides a broad continuum of substance use disorder treatment, mental health care, recovery support, and family focused services for people in Everett, Snohomish County, and communities throughout Western Washington. Evergreen uses holistic, integrated, person centered treatment designed to support long term recovery while reducing the stigma associated with addiction and mental illness. Its services include behavioral health and substance use assessments, legal assessments, substance abuse education, outpatient treatment, Deferred Prosecution services, family drug court programming, drug screening, harm reduction and diversion programs, medically monitored withdrawal management, health services, continuing care, housing support, and specialized residential treatment. The organization provides medically monitored withdrawal management for people experiencing serious withdrawal symptoms who require 24 hour nursing and medical care, with treatment intended to safely manage withdrawal and connect patients with the appropriate continuing level of addiction care. Evergreen also operates specialized residential programs for pregnant and parenting women and their children, including Evergreen Manor in Everett, reflecting the organization’s longstanding emphasis on keeping mothers and young children together during recovery. Its history includes becoming the first residential program to admit a pregnant woman for treatment in 1985 and later developing specialized residential and outpatient programming for pregnant and parenting women that integrates addiction recovery with relationships, trauma, mindfulness, relapse prevention, parenting support, daycare, and early childhood prevention services. In 2025, Evergreen opened a new 27,500 square foot Evergreen Manor facility on Summit Avenue that added capacity for 18 more parenting women and expanded residential capacity for children from 12 to 50. The organization also provides residential treatment for men with addiction and co occurring mental health conditions through Legacy Lodge and opened Rainwood in 2026 to provide long term residential treatment for women with co occurring mental health disorders. Additional services across Evergreen include low barrier psychiatric and medical care for people with substance use and mental health disorders, medication assisted treatment, outreach, case management, and continuing care programs with housing and educational support.
