Intercept Associates is an outpatient alcohol and substance use disorder treatment provider serving Federal Way in King County, Washington, offering flexible addiction services designed so clients can continue working while participating in treatment. The program provides substance use evaluations by appointment for DUI and DWI cases, deferred prosecution, diversion programs, employer and EAP referrals, medical or legal concerns, probation monitoring, Department of Corrections requirements, and people seeking help voluntarily or because of family concerns. Outpatient treatment includes the Living Skills program for people experiencing early problems with alcohol or other substances who are at risk of developing more serious substance use problems, while the Intensive Outpatient Program serves individuals diagnosed with middle stage alcohol or substance use disorders and includes a nine month daytime option and an eight month evening option, including programming associated with DUI two year and deferred prosecution requirements. Clients in applicable programs are expected to maintain abstinence from alcohol and other mind altering substances, participate in random drug screening, and, for intensive outpatient and relapse prevention services, document attendance at support group meetings twice each week. Intercept Associates also provides a nine month Relapse Prevention program for people in recovery who have returned to active substance use, a one day Alcohol and Drug Information School focused on helping participants make informed decisions regarding alcohol and drug use, individualized counseling, family intervention, and walk in urinalysis. Progress reports can be provided to courts, probation officers, or other authorized referral sources when required. Daytime and evening scheduling is normally available to accommodate employment and other responsibilities, although the facility states that its groups and evaluations are currently being conducted virtually.
