Matt Talbot Center in Seattle, Washington, is a Washington State licensed intensive outpatient substance use disorder recovery program serving adults age 18 and older throughout Seattle and the surrounding King County area who are committed to becoming clean and sober. The program is offered free of charge and is organized into three phases that are approximately four months each, creating a structured recovery process that generally lasts about one year, although some members may take longer than a year to complete treatment. Matt Talbot Center combines daily clinical programming with individualized counseling provided by clinical professionals who tailor services to each member’s needs and take a holistic approach to recovery. In addition to individual counseling, members participate in group sessions and have access to supportive activities intended to strengthen recovery and overall stability, including yoga, art, cultural and recreational outings, and hot meals. Mental health care is incorporated through a partnership with the state licensed CReW program, which provides specialized mental health services that complement members’ substance use disorder treatment. Matt Talbot Center also addresses practical needs that can affect long term recovery by connecting members with long term transitional housing and safe, sober, term unlimited housing through community housing partners. Career support is available through partnerships with local businesses and other community organizations, including training and job placement assistance for graduates and members who have progressed into later phases of the recovery program. By combining intensive outpatient substance use treatment with individualized counseling, mental health care, recovery groups, sober housing connections, employment assistance, meals, and enrichment activities, Matt Talbot Center provides a comprehensive community based recovery program focused not only on achieving sobriety but also on helping adults establish greater stability and independence.
