Bad River Health and Wellness Center Behavioral Health, located in Odanah in Ashland County, Wisconsin, provides outpatient mental health, substance abuse, addiction recovery, and supportive behavioral health services for adults, adolescents, and children through an individualized and culturally responsive approach to wellness. Substance abuse treatment is specifically offered through personalized programs designed to address addiction and strengthen long term recovery, and the behavioral health team includes an AODA and MAT Project Director, an AODA Program Coordinator, and a Substance Abuse Counselor, demonstrating a dedicated focus on alcohol and other drug abuse treatment as well as medication assisted treatment support. Behavioral health services include individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, child and adolescent counseling, trauma informed care, stress management, coping skills development, medication management, and treatment for concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and other emotional or behavioral challenges. The availability of both mental health and substance abuse professionals allows individuals experiencing co occurring addiction and psychiatric concerns to receive coordinated support addressing multiple aspects of their recovery. Treatment is client centered and tailored to each person’s needs, preferences, strengths, and recovery goals while considering the connections between emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing. Beyond formal therapy, the program provides support groups, mindfulness and wellness workshops, educational resources, and community outreach intended to strengthen recovery, resilience, and community wellbeing. Bad River Health and Wellness Center serves the Odanah and greater Ashland County area and provides behavioral health and addiction services within a broader health and wellness system, helping patients coordinate substance use treatment with other health care needs when appropriate.
