Nova Counseling Services is a residential substance use disorder treatment provider located in Oshkosh in Winnebago County, Wisconsin, offering structured addiction recovery services for adults affected by alcohol and drug addiction. Its primary residential program currently serves men age 18 and older through an approximately 30 day treatment model built around a therapeutic community and the recovery principles of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. Residents live together in a structured and supportive environment where daily routines include individual and small group counseling, educational lectures, meditation, community responsibilities, family conferences, recovery speakers, AA and NA meetings, and 12 step recovery work designed to strengthen accountability, coping abilities, peer support, and long term sobriety. Nova also provides medication assisted treatment support when appropriate and focuses treatment on both substance use and the underlying factors that contribute to addiction. Following residential treatment, clients may continue through Terra Transitional Living, a 90 day transitional program, and ongoing aftercare services to help maintain recovery after leaving residential care. The program accepts Medicaid and BadgerCare Plus and is in network with most major insurance providers. Nova has also announced an expansion of its services, with residential treatment services for women expected to become available in fall 2026, broadening access beyond its current men’s residential program.
