Fremont Counseling Service, established in 1959, is a CARF-accredited, nonprofit community mental health center located at 1110 Major Avenue in Riverton, Wyoming. Serving Fremont County—including the Wind River Indian Reservation—the center offers comprehensive outpatient services for individuals facing substance use disorders, mental health conditions, or co-occurring challenges. Treatment options include individual, group, couples, and family therapy, as well as psychiatric medication management and case management support .
The facility provides both Basic Alcohol and Drug Education (BADE) and Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOT) programs. The IOT program features an eight-week therapy regimen based on the Matrix Model, followed by two weeks dedicated to developing a personalized Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP). Continuing Care and Advanced Recovery groups are available to support long-term sobriety and relapse prevention .
