The Awareness Program, Inc. is a long-established California organization focused on supporting individuals whose lives have been impacted by alcohol and drug use. Since 1974, the program has provided education and treatment to DUI offenders, later formalizing its mission with incorporation in 1979. Over the decades, it has earned a reputation for offering services in a setting grounded in dignity, respect, and accountability.
In 1995, its Indio location received certification from Riverside County to deliver PC 1000 Drug Diversion services, adding to its long history of meeting court-ordered treatment needs, including Prop 36. Today, the program offers a broad range of services, including First and Multiple Offender DUI programs, PC1000, drug testing, and out-of-state assessments and evaluations.
The Awareness Program operates entirely on client fees and maintains full responsibility for fulfilling its contractual obligations with public agencies, ensuring that no taxpayer funds support its DUI or PC1000 services.
