ANEW Chemical Health Services is dedicated to guiding women to and through recovery by helping them stay accountable to their goals. With a mission to lift women out of addiction and into recovery, ANEW provides a safe and supportive environment where women can heal, grow, and achieve lasting change.
The organization believes that women heal best in connection with other women. Grounded in Relational-Cultural Theory, ANEW recognizes that growth and empowerment come through meaningful, growth-fostering relationships. These relationships are defined by five essential qualities: zest, clarity, a sense of worth, productivity, and a desire for deeper connection. Relationships, much like air and water, are vital to healing and are central to the recovery process.
ANEW incorporates Helping Women Recover, a curriculum developed by Dr. Stephanie Covington. This program offers a holistic, woman-centered approach to substance abuse treatment by blending evidence-based research with clinical expertise. Through these methods, ANEW empowers women to achieve and maintain recovery in a safe and compassionate environment, guided by the values of accountability, safety, integrity, and support.
