Integrative Counseling Services in Seattle, Washington, provides state certified outpatient substance use disorder assessment and treatment services for adults in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle and the surrounding King County area. ICS offers substance use evaluations for clients over age 21, including DUI assessments, using a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment to determine diagnosis, appropriate level of care placement, an individualized treatment plan, and program recommendations. For adults who are chemically dependent and need a more structured level of addiction treatment, the Intensive Outpatient Program provides both individual and group therapy with the goal of achieving abstinence from alcohol and drugs. The IOP consists of 72 hours of treatment delivered over 12 weeks and incorporates education about the neuroscience of addiction along with cognitive and behavioral skills and principles of wellness intended to help clients establish and maintain a sober lifestyle. ICS also provides regular outpatient treatment for adults who require a less intensive level of care, with individual therapy and weekly or monthly groups addressing relapse prevention, wellness, cognitive skills, and behavioral strategies for continued sobriety. For individuals facing DUI related legal involvement, ICS offers Deferred Prosecution through a two year, three phase treatment program for chemically dependent individuals who choose treatment in lieu of prosecution for DUI charges. In addition to its substance use disorder programming, Integrative Counseling Services identifies mandated involvement and LGBTQ counseling among its broader counseling services, providing a setting where treatment can be individualized according to each client’s circumstances and recovery needs.
