Rankings reflect Andrew McKenna’s professional judgment based on criteria and methodology he helped develop with Drug Rehab USA and information available at the time of review. Inclusion on this list reflects a favorable assessment under those criteria but does not constitute an endorsement, individualized treatment recommendation, or guarantee of any facility’s services, safety, quality, or treatment outcomes.
Rankings and facility information may change over time. Individuals should consider their specific treatment needs, consult qualified healthcare professionals when appropriate, and independently evaluate any facility before making a treatment decision.
Instructions

- Select Alcohol & Drug Rehab Centers or (Methadone Clinic) Opioid Treatment Programs
- Select the Desired Category or add multiple filters by clicking the “Add Filters Button.”
- Select ‘Near Me‘ for Listings within 100 miles or type in State or City.
- You can also filter by the Name of the Facility you are looking for.
How I ranked these programs. I look past websites, admissions scripts and amenity lists. The person arriving for treatment is often frightened, exhausted and not sure whom to trust. The best program is the one that can assess that person honestly, build a plan around the patient instead of a template, treat co-occurring conditions, involve family when appropriate, maintain a safe and respectful environment, and stay connected after discharge. Those priorities drive this ranking.
Operating-status recheck completed on the date shown above. Each program in the revised Top 10, along with RAMAR as the first alternate, has current public evidence of operation through an active accreditor listing, a current admissions or service page, or both. That is enough for me to say the programs appear open and active as of the review date. It is not a representation that I audited their finances or can guarantee future solvency.
Important verification note. DBH accepts complaints, but it does not provide one complete public dashboard showing every complaint, investigation, corrective action and final order by facility. Final publication should therefore remain conditioned on direct confirmation of the exact DBH certificate, address and approved service lines, plus a written public-records check for unresolved enforcement and patient-safety matters.
Material correction from the recheck. Th Auditor of State issued an adverse Medicaid-compliance opinion concerning IBH for selected 2020-2022 claims and identified $43,493.79 in improper payments, plus $3,365.11 in calculated interest. IBH reported that it had changed its workflows and controls beginning in late 2022, but the auditor did not test that response. The auditor also issued a qualified opinion concerning Meridian HealthCare for selected 2020-2022 claims and identified $5,282.85 in improper payments, plus $971.54 in calculated interest; Meridian declined to submit an official response. Neither report is a published license suspension, and both organizations remain active with current independent accreditation. Still, these findings require a real scoring penalty. IBH moves from fifth to tenth, and Meridian’s score is reduced.
